Magnus Mixtape
2024 saw a return to St Magnus International Festival and Kirkwall's magnificent St Magnus Cathedral. Our ensemble of musicians filled the nave, aisles and Rognvald chapel with atmospheric musicals arrangements. An immersive experience and promenade style performance with stunning video mapping from Illuminous, which explored the themes of the Cathedral's fascinating history and St Magnus's story.
The Rhythm of Stones
A specially commissioned work bringing together the writing of some of the members of Orkney Voices Group with the quirky music of Stephen Deazley. The new piece presents folk tales and legends with lyrics in Orcadian dialect that come together with singing, body percussion, percussion bands and dancing. A celebration of the young talent of primary schools.

Summer 2022
2022 saw a revival of Toads on a tapestry, as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee events in Kent. Once again, we joined forces with composer David Knotts, poet John Gallas, Faversham Music Club and their wonderful community choir Faversham Voices for this musical celebration of the signing of Magna Carta.

We brought Fabulous Fables to St Magnus Cathedral. Sold out to hugely enthusiastic audiences, these one-hour promenade events brought the Cathedral to vivid life with art, music and poetry. Using tales and poetry from Orkney and further afield, and with an hommage to poet, author and dramatist George Mackay Brown, the performance created a mindful, exploration of the architecture with spatial live music, recorded text, visual art installations and video. Part performance, part exhibition, part experience.
